Abbeyleix Golf Club
About Abbeyleix Golf Club
Abbeyleix Golf Club is a long-established parkland club in County Laois, founded in 1895. Its 18-hole course combines mature trees, varied elevations and countryside views, with visitor tee times, organised society golf and an active calendar of open competitions.
Course Information
Established in 1895, Abbeyleix Golf Club began as a nine-hole layout before its Mel Flanagan-designed expansion opened in September 2000. The present 18-hole parkland course crosses rolling terrain near Rathmoyle, with tree-lined fairways, water hazards and views towards the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Named holes include the opening par-five Saucer and the closing Rath, bringing variety and strategic demands to a round.
