Blainroe Golf Club
About Blainroe Golf Club
Blainroe Golf Club occupies a dramatic clifftop setting south of Wicklow town, overlooking the Irish Sea. Its 18-hole parkland course was designed by Martin Hawtree and is notable for the way it moves between inland slopes and the coastal edge. The opening nine crosses rising ground, while the closing holes take golfers towards the cliffs and expansive sea views. Course improvements, including extensive bunker work, have helped Blainroe earn recognition in Irish Golfer’s national course rankings. Visitors can book tee times online and make use of an established professional shop, coaching services and clubhouse facilities, making it a distinctive coastal golf destination.
Course Information
Martin Hawtree’s Blainroe course combines rolling parkland with clifftop golf beside the Irish Sea. The front nine moves across rising ground, while the back nine reaches the exposed coastal edge. Bunkering has been extensively revised and the closing par-five offers a memorable finish above the cliffs, with sea winds influencing club selection.
