Carrickfergus Golf Club
About Carrickfergus Golf Club
Carrickfergus Golf Club occupies mature parkland on North Road in Carrickfergus, County Antrim, a short distance from Belfast Lough. The club dates to 1926 and offers an 18-hole course combining tree-lined holes, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. Golf architect David Jones has remodelled parts of the layout, introducing greens built to USGA specifications and adding interest to several approaches. Although its par is only 68, the course rewards accurate driving and thoughtful club selection rather than distance alone. Visitors have access to published weekday and weekend green fees, and the clubhouse provides a restaurant, bar and golf professional services.
Course Information
An 18-hole, par-68 parkland course where water, sand and mature trees shape the test. David Jones redesigned several holes, with attention to subtle USGA-standard greens and carefully positioned hazards. Its modest overall length can be deceptive, particularly on approaches into protected greens.
