Castletroy Golf Club
About Castletroy Golf Club
Castletroy Golf Club was established in 1937 and occupies a mature parkland setting at Golf Links Road on the eastern side of Limerick city. The 18-hole course has a strong tradition of competitive golf and is well positioned for visitors arriving from the M7 and the University of Limerick area. Tree-lined fairways, established greens and a carefully maintained landscape give the club its character. Castletroy offers a staffed PGA professional shop, coaching, practice areas, clubhouse dining and social events. Both members and visitors can enjoy the course, although membership categories and visitor green fees have distinct Golf Ireland eligibility arrangements.
Course Information
Castletroy is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course with mature trees, bunkered approaches and a mix of longer and shorter holes. Its published measurements are approximately 6,760 yards, depending on tee. The absence of a driving range is offset by a dedicated short-game area, putting green, practice bunkers and two warm-up nets. Approach accuracy and putting are central to the challenge.
