Concra Wood Golf & Country Club
About Concra Wood Golf & Country Club
Concra Wood Golf & Country Club is renowned for its dramatic lakeside setting overlooking Lough Muckno, creating spectacular views on every hole. Its championship design and serene atmosphere offer a high-quality and memorable golfing experience.
Course Information
Concra Wood Golf and Country Club is the latest stage in the evolution of Castleblayney Golf Club. Founded as a 9 hole course in 1905, opposite the entrance to Concra Wood, it closed in 1949, In 1985, it was reborn in the grounds of Hope Castle (visible across Lough Muckno), before moving to its current location in 2008, and expanding to 18 holes. The shape and flow of the golf course are perfectly complemented by the drumlins that roll across the countryside. This easy rhythm adds to the beauty of the course and its challenges, and it will inspire every golfer who chooses to play here. Woods and trees stretch their way elegantly around the course and between holes to give Concra Wood a truly natural touch.
