Headfort Golf Club
About Headfort Golf Club
Headfort Golf Club is a 36-hole parkland venue near Kells in County Meath, set among mature trees on the former Headfort Estate. The club was founded in 1928 and has two distinct 18-hole layouts: the historic Old Course and the Championship, or New, Course designed by Christy O’Connor Jnr. The New Course makes use of stretches of the River Blackwater, while the Old Course is renowned for its tree-lined setting. The club welcomes members, societies and visiting golfers, with a substantial clubhouse, professional services and practice facilities. Players can book either course separately or enquire about multi-round visits.
Course Information
Headfort’s Old Course is a traditional parkland layout defined by mature estate trees and carefully framed holes. Its Championship Course, designed by Christy O’Connor Jnr, has a more expansive routing with the River Blackwater brought into play on several holes. Both courses offer a distinct 18-hole parkland experience.
