About Westport Golf Club
Westport Golf Club overlooks Clew Bay with breathtaking views of Croagh Patrick, delivering one of Ireland’s most scenic parkland rounds. Its memorable scenery and warm club culture make it a standout destination for golfers in the west.
Course Information
Discover Westport Golf Club, one of Ireland’s premier parkland courses. Renowned for its championship pedigree, our club has proudly hosted prestigious events, including the Irish Amateur Close Championship, the Smurfit Irish PGA Championship, Irish Ladies Close, Ladies Home Internationals and the AIG Cups & Shields All-Ireland Finals.
Nestled in the shadow of Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s holy mountain, Westport Golf Club offers stunning panoramic views from its elevated perch above Clew Bay. Spanning 6,980 yards with five challenging par-five holes, this course is a true test for even the longest hitters. Designed by Fred W. Hawtree in 1973, he praised Westport, stating, “the nature of the terrain, part inland and part seaside, the panorama which it commands and its considerable golfing virtues, make it uniquely attractive and memorable.”
