Dublin Mountain Golf Club/Butter Mountain
About Dublin Mountain Golf Club/Butter Mountain
Butter Mountain Golf & Leisure Club is located at Gortlum, Brittas, in the Dublin Mountains, within reach of Blessington and south Dublin. Founded in 1993, the 18-hole parkland course has been renovated and offers broad mountain views and varied holes across mature countryside. The club serves both members and visiting golfers, with an online tee-time service and separate rates for nine- and 18-hole play. Its membership programme includes full and weekday options, while society groups can arrange tailored outings. The refurbished clubhouse provides a base for golfers before and after a round, making Butter Mountain an accessible option for local golf and organised groups.
Course Information
Butter Mountain’s 18-hole parkland layout runs through the foothills of the Dublin Mountains. Its hole-by-hole guide includes a redesigned island green at the 14th, a dogleg left at the 15th and a finishing hole where the approach angle rewards a well-placed drive. The mix of slopes, mature trees and water features calls for varied shot-making.
